Food for Space Travelers is a fascinating 1966 film that examines the issue of feeding astronauts. The documentary explores the progress and problems involved in developing, preparing and eating nutritious and tasteful foods during extended space journeys. Host John Fitch visits a space foods kitchen and samples food prepared for astronauts. While space food has come a long way from these early days, this is a fascinating look at what it took to make sure the first astronauts were able to function in space.

Produced in 1965 by the Department of Defense, this DVD follows the history of American aviation from its earliest beginnings to the age of the rickets. Hurricane Below (1994) was produced by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Hurricane Below shows the follows Hurricane Mimi from its birth off the Coast of Africa to its point of contact with the Central Atlantic States. It traces its growth and development through its entire life, showing scenes of the destructive power of this mighty hurricane.

Produced by the Department of Defense in the early 1960s, Man and Space is a review of the then current state of the art presentation of the Air Force Systems Command;s bioastronautics life sciences programs. It is an excellent presentation that delves into all the research and operational support structures that were developed in this time period to ensure man's safety in space exploration.

The history of space flight is full of many firsts. This set of two films explores two significant firsts - the first U.S. space program to put a man into orbit and the first joint space program between two super powers - the U.S. and the Soviets. Produced in 1970, this DVD details the events surrounding the July 1969 launch of Apollo 11 and astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. It goes into great detail about the activities of both the astronauts and the mission control staff during the entire sequence that encompassed Apollo 11, training, pre-launch and launch sequences, daily activities on the spacecraft and of course the moonwalks. There is additional fascinating footage of the medical testing astronauts were put through to be sure they were space ready and how the space suits they wore were assembled and tested.
