Air Brakes - Principles of Operation (1994) was produced by the Department of the Army to explain the design and function of all the components in the air brakes system used in large military vehicles. Shows what happens when the brake pedal is depressed and released. This training film was designed to help Army mechanics understand how the air brakes operate on these heavy duty vehicles.

Produced by Department of the Air Force, this video provides newcomers and their families an overview of the organizations, housing, and community services available at Mildenhall, England. This film was produced in 1996 to help American soldiers adjust to life in and around Mildenall as quickly and comfortably as possible.

Framing - Floor Joists and Walls (1994) was produced by the Department of the Navy. The film walks the viewer through the steps needed for for constructing walls, floors, doors,and windows of a two-story building.

Produced by the Department of Defense in 1966, Free Fall Safety Procedures is a discussion of parachute safety. This film covers the proper techniques involved in packing and wearing parachute equipment, proper techniques for landing on both land and water, how to jump with a static line and how to execute free fall jumps.

Mast Bumping - Causes and Prevention (1982) is a United States Army production teaching helicopter pilots about mast bumping and how to deal with the situation. It helps Army pilots identify the warning signs of mast bumping and the steps to take to correct them before a bump occurs. This is a critical skill to master when learning how to fly a helicopter safely.

How To Fly The B-26 Airplane Training Film is an in depth look at how to operate the Martin B-26 Bomber AKA the Marauder. This film, featuring Hollywood actor Don Porter as the pilot, demonstrates how to handle this remarkable aircraft and put it through its motions. The film is shown from the perspective of the pilot teaching the a Lieutenant the moves of operating this aircraft. It shows how they prepare the bomber for flight by going through a detailed checklist of pre-flight procedures and makes sure the plane is 100% ready to go before actually getting ready to fly. It then shows how the engines are started, a smooth takeoff and then an exploration of the limits and capabilities of the aircraft in the air. To make it even more exciting, it shows one engine failing and the steps needed to "glide" it back for a safe landing. This film is a rare and detailed look at one of our historic war planes.

Produced by the The War Department, Special Service Division, Army Service Forces with the cooperation of The Signal Corps, this WWII era film was prepared to help U.S. WWII soldiers to know and understand our most important ally in WWII - Britain. The film includes a variety of scenes of British life, political situations and the role they are playing in the war against the Germans.

Produced by the United States Army, this film examines treatment methods for the 20% of all battle casualties in the American Army during World War II; which were of a neuropsychiatric nature. The special treatment methods shown in this film, such as hypnosis and narcosynthesis, have been proven to be particularly successful in acute cases, such as battle neurosis. Interestingly the successes achieved in battle neurosis is much greater than when dealing with peacetime neuroses which are usually of a chronic nature suggesting that these therapies are best employed for acute neurotic conditions.

Nursing Process in Action (1994) was produced by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. This training film (part I in a series) was created to explain the nursing process and how it is used to implement the day to day nursing routine in an Army hospital and how it helps evaluate the level of care being offered by the nursing staff.

Produced by the Department of Defense in 1970, this DVD is a fascinating look at the three week training program that soldiers must pass to become a Recondo (Reconnaissance Commando.) It covers all aspects of the training - both physical and mental - that goes into making a successful reconnaissance operative for the military.

Seconds to Live: Underwater Egress Training (1988) was produced by the United States Air Force. It discusses water egress from a crashed helicopter. It shows how to prepare for the impact with the water, best locations to exit the craft and swimming techniques for effectively clearing the wreckage. This training film provides the most emphasis on jettison procedures, how to find reference points underwater and how to deal with disorientation when you don't know which is typical in a water crash.

Produced by the Department of Defense in 1942, Ski Safety is a training film to help soldiers learn how to handle emergency situations that develop when traveling on skis.

Star Identification (1942) was produced by the United States Navy Bureau of Aeronautics and Bureau of Naval Personnel to help train their soldiers in the ability to identify common stars in the nighttime sky. The film covers many of the major stars and constellations seen in the northern hemisphere. Note: Film has some background noise and occasional flicker.

Produced by the Department of the Army, this video describes proper selection of clothes, table manners, ordering in a restaurant, introductions, dating etiquette, and etiquette at a formal reception for people serving in the Army. Although the film was created as a training guide for Army personnel, it makes an excellent introduction to proper modern etiquette for anyone in these situations.

Filmed around 1970, this film explores the training Marine recruits received at Parris Island to get them ready for war. You will see the rigors of their boot camp training at Parris Island, South Carolina.

Trial by Fire: A Carrier Fights for Life (1973) was produced by the United States Navy to educate Navy personnel on how to prevent fires and how to control them when they break out on a carrier at sea. The film includes actual footage of a carrier on fire and the brave crew that worked to extinguish that fire before it became a disaster. Note: There is a background hissing noise on the audio soundtrack from the original film.

Welcome to RAF Lakenheath, U.K. was produced by the United States Air Force; Detachment 1, AETC Training Support Squadron Lackland AFB, Texas. This film was created to give a comprehensive tour of Lakenheath for American servicemen who would be stationed there. It gives an in depth look at the huge array of facilities available at Lakenheath including shopping and entertainment facilities.
