The Aldrich Family is a teenage situation comedy that ran from 1939 to 1953. The show began when Rudy Vallee saw it as a play and convinced his write - Clifford Goldsmith - to write it into an episode of The Rudy Vallee Show. It was such a hit that it became its own weekly show and by 1941 it was rated in the top 10 old time radio shows on the air.

The Aldrich Family follows the misadventures of 16 year old Henry Aldrich as he rambles through life causing a variety of hilarious challenges and problems for all around him on a non-stop basis.
