Mail Call was a radio show created during
World War II for the American soldier. It features a wide array of popular stars
of the time - primarily offering comedy to help allow the soldiers to forget the
daily horrors of WWII. Some of the greats that appeared on Mail Call included
Jack Benny, Bing Crosby, Grouch Marx, Judy Garland, Burns and Allen and many other
period greats. One of the nice touches of Mail Call is that
it took requests from soldiers and did its best to bring on the talents the men
wanted to hear in its broadcasts. This collection of Mail Call
Greats includes 47 different shows for a total of 20+ hours of listening enjoyment. This
product is a DVD collection of Old Time Radio mp3s. It is designed to be played
