how copper, iron, gold and salt mining were performed in the mid
20th century. It demonstrates techniques for extracting the ore
from the ground and how it is refined - with fascinating shots of
the men hard at work getting the raw materials we use in every day
life.

Copper Mining and Smelting
  
This film explores how copper is mined from the ground and
then smelted into a usable pure form of copper for all sorts
of uses. The film has great scenes of using dynamite to help
excavate the copper and of the smelting process where the
copper is sorted out of the raw materials and put into a usable
form for later manufacturing.
