Requirements for training your puppy:

A standard sized crate to fit your dog when he/she is an adult. It should ONLY be adequate for the dog to stand up well and turn around (for reasons that will become apparent later on).

To choose a suitable Potty area for your dog is significant.

A "Potty Word or Sign";.

You must get those snacks that your rottweillers likes the most.

A non ammonia cleaner essential for any accident areas. If you can get one that is made specially for pets, they are the best. You should be able to find one which is called "No Go". You can purchase this from pet stores or catalogs.

Keep a chart to be acquainted with daily needs of your large rottweiler puppies.

Considering all such features the basic requirement is time and patience moreso if your rottweiler rescue was is obtained at a shelter.

Stated below defines about crate :-

If you can obtain the molded, fiberglass type of crate used when shipping by air that is the best type. This will be converted into your dog's "den" and - believe it or not - he will grow to admire it. Your dog will stay in his crate every time when you are not giving him your full attention.

The most significant feature you should keep in mind is to purchase a standard sized dogs crate in order that your dog can move freely in it. For most young puppies, you will require a crate divider. These are very useful because you can purchase a crate which will fit your adult dog and use it while he is still a puppy.

One of the most significant point is keeping a chart to know the daily schedule of your dog. You must note down his playtime, his timing of potty, wake up time etc. in order that you dont face any difficulty. All such timings can be recognized to you after watching his daily activities for at least a week.

When your dog's crate door is opened, pick your dog up and take him to the location of your yard that will be the "potty area". You should always take him to this similar area for potty time. It is also significant to get his preferred snack with you.

During its potty time you should not play with your dog. An appropriate training must be given to make him realize his timing of potty.

Once your rotweilers start relieving, pick a word for potty. Acquaint him with that word so that every time you say that word, he should go out instantly. Whenever you think that the pup is learning it, express the word pleasingly and praise him for the successful completion of the task.

When he completes, give him a "snack" and praise him copiously! Take the pup back inside for food, playtime, etc. Remember to take him back outside after food or playtime. After twenty minutes, it's back in the crate for both relax and reinforcement. Continue this sequence until the evening.

I personally don't offer food and water after 10:00 p.m. to my dog. This seems to help the puppy stay clean throughout the night. At bedtime, move the crate to your bedside. Make sure your dog is in a draft-free place and has plenty of warm bedding.

(I have found that a cold puppy is soon a "wet" puppy.) Most pups will settle in fairly well if they are near your bed. When the pup wakes up in the morning, he will kick up a fuss to go out. Remember your areas and treats!
