CENSUS OF POPULATION AND HOUSING 1790 - The first enumeration began on Monday, August 2,1790, little more than a year after the inauguration of President Washington and shortly before the second session of the first Congress ended. States included in the 1790 census are: Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia.

The Historical Kansas Book Collection is a collection of 35 volumes relating to the history of Kansas and its people primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries. Several of the volumes have great period illustrations and portraits of relevant historical figures.

The Historical Kentucky Book Collection is a collection of 33 volumes relating to the history of Kentucky and its people primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries. Several of the volumes have great period illustrations and portraits of relevant historical figures.

The Louisiana Book Collection is a collection of 25 volumes relating to the history of Louisiana and its people primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries. Several of the volumes have great period illustrations and portraits of relevant historical figures.

The Luzerne County, Pennsylvania Histories book collection is a group of 14 books that detail the history of Luzerne County - primarily in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the books are illustrated; showcasing specific events relating to key points in the history and development of Luzerne County during this period as well as details of some of its most important and influential figures.

The Historical Maine Book Collection is a collection of 41 volumes relating to the history of Maine and its people primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries. Several of the volumes have great period illustrations and portraits of relevant historical figures.

The Maine Historical and Genealogical Recorder Nine is a Nine Volume Set chock full of family histories and family details from the early Maine families. Published in from 1884 to 1898, this nine volume set contains more than 2,500 pages of family history and photos related to the places being discussed. It is a fantastic resource for Maine genealogy researchers. Each of the nine volumes represents several issues of the publication.

The Maine Vital Records book collection is an archive of ten volumes covering the vital records of several cities in Maine (see list below.) These volumes contain birth and death records and family tree/genealogical records of families from the 1700s and 1800s. This collection is a great resource for genealogical research in Maine.
