of documentaries and newsreels about World War II in Europe. The newsreels also
include additional historical events of the era. All films and newsreels are

D-Day Minus One (1945)
A history of the operations of the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions
in the 1944 invasion of France. It shows all the steps that were taken
prior to D-Day to get the troops ready for a successful landing - including
scenes of troops being air dropped behind enemy lines to support the frontal
attack on Normandy the next day.

Combat America (1945)
This film documents the efforts of the Flying Fortress crews of the 351st
Bombardment Group. It shows everything from their training in Colorado
to actual combat runs over Germany. It tells the story of their lives

D-Day 1944

show the extent of their coastal defenses. Tanks, guns, locomotives, and
other military equipment is massed on the English beaches. Troops practice
loading operations. Landing craft is tested in the English Channel. Pictures
of practice landing and airborne operations are used to dramatize the
actual invasion on June 6, 1944.
