The era of Drive-In Movie
Theaters was a magical and unfortunately mostly bygone time. You
drive in with your car and find a spot to watch the movie, hook
up a big fray speaker to your car window, get comfortable with your
loved one(s) and sit back and enjoy the show. And if you got hungry,
you had a REAL snack bar, not these modern snack bars that charge
outrageous prices for popcorn, candy and maybe ice cream or hot
dogs. At a Drive-In, you could get an entire meal -pizzas, hot dogs,
hamburgers, sandwiches, etc. You name it and it was probably available
at your local Drive-In snack stand.
This short DVD is a collection
of 56 intermission clips that were shown during this golden era
of movie watching. It includes clips about how to use the speakers,
sponsor ads for local businesses and of course food... lots and
lots of food. So sit back and enjoy this walk down memory lane with
your loved ones.
