President Franklin D. Roosevelt Newsreel Collection - FDR Speaks
on the Issues and Programs That Built America and Shaped the World
of the 1930's and 1940's
This collection of vintage newsreels explores the life and issues
of FDR during his terms as President of the United States. The collection
runs from 1933 to 1945 and includes 47 newsreels for a total run
time of two hours and 23 minutes. Overall the quality of this black
and white newsreel collection is quite good but there is some fading
of the images and lower sound quality in a small number of the newsreel
clips. This collection covers everything from Roosevelt's landslide
victory in 1936 to his strong position against the Nazi aggression
to the fateful decision to enter the war and much more.
