Hypothermia was produced by the United States Coast Guard in conjunction with the University of Alaska. This DVD graphically demonstrates hypothermia and how easily it can occur on a fishing boat at sea in cold waters. The DVD shows a man falling off the fishing boat into the cold sea and the steps that are taken to identify if he has suffered hypothermia from exposure to the cold water and the steps that need to be taken to treat it. It also discussed prevention techniques.

Produced by the Department of Agriculture, Human Nutrition Information Service in 1983, this video explores the relationship between food and fitness showing how the proper foods in the correct proportions help achieve physical fitness. While the government has made some tweaks to the food pyramid since this video was produced, it is still an excellent overview of how to choose healthy foods, how to understand food labels in the supermarket and many other aspects of nutrition that are just as relevant to your health and physical fitness levels today as it was back in 1983 when it was produced.

Produced by the Department of Defense in 1975, this DVD takes a serious look at infectious/ communicable diseases. It explores how they are contracted, transmitted and how outbreaks are contained and destroyed. It also examines the role of hospital personnel to monitor signs of a potential communicable disease outbreak in the facility so that they can take steps to stop it before it becomes a major health hazard.

Produced by the United States Army, this film examines treatment methods for the 20% of all battle casualties in the American Army during World War II; which were of a neuropsychiatric nature. The special treatment methods shown in this film, such as hypnosis and narcosynthesis, have been proven to be particularly successful in acute cases, such as battle neurosis. Interestingly the successes achieved in battle neurosis is much greater than when dealing with peacetime neuroses which are usually of a chronic nature suggesting that these therapies are best employed for acute neurotic conditions.
